Scott 25, it has the top and bottom framelines

Russ, Could the first one be a 26A. Other than color, I'm not sure what is the difference? I think these are dull red vrs. rose. Could you explain?

The first stamp is a #25 because it has framelines on all 4 sides, most importantly on the top and bottom. I believe the second stamp is actually a 26A. Look at your 26A closely and you will see that there is no frameline above "U.S. POSTAGE" or below "THREE CENTS" like the #25, that is the biggest difference between the 25/25A and the 26/26A. The reason why I think your second stamp is a 26A is the side framelines are crooked and there appears to be a break in the line in the upper right corner. If you post a better image of the top we should be able to see for sure.

Kosmet, I noticed you did some editing on the pictures but what you need to post is one of your 1200dpi slivers of the top portion.

I need to hook up my scanner and rescan, I'll do that tomorrow.

In the meantime, I'm going to post a #27 at 600dpi.
