I have been an avid Aviation collector all my life and have a few stamps as well. I'm hoping I can figure out how to upload the stamps that I don't know what country they represent. When I try to click the picture, it tells me I need to be logged on which I thought I was. I hope I can figure it out. I'm trying to add my collection into a database so I won't buy copies. Here is one of six that I need help with.

Hi Nomad,
Welcome!
I'm no expert, but I believe that is Japanese - the little flower shape top centre is the symbol on Japanese stamps. I think its supposed to be a chrysanthemum.
You seemed to have loaded that picture OK - nice scan! Have you solved your problems?

Hi Nomad, Welcome

Definitely Japan. It's indeed a chrysanthemum. There are Chinese stamps with a similar emblem, but a little different.

Dave.

Hi Nomad,

Further research reveals it to be number C4 an air mail stamp.

Welcome Nomad,

Hot Dang, another airmail collector!!

I collect USA stamps and Airmail stamps from around the world.

Welcome aboard!

There are some nice Airmail threads with pictures - look around, you'll find them.
