as mentioned on another thread it would be fun and a mind challenge to find out what is NOT on a stamp... if you have an idea post it if you can prove that post wrong post it!! its all in good fun and the only limitation is stamps made with those custom programs (use your own image type stuff).. they can be in any era or country now or former.....

to get this off to a good start attempt to prove me wrong....

i do not think there is a stamp depicting an Opera singer....

begin and have fun!!

Now that is an interesting task. I know there is a stamp with an Opera House on it, but I am not sure about an actual Opera singer. I would think that there has been one issued somewhere...

You're joking, right? Scott 3154-3157 is a whole sheetlet of American Opera stars issued in 1997. I don't have them (not especially interested in opera) but did pull these images off the web:

Don't forget, none of us SCF posters have ever been on a postage stamp (except for the excluded custom postage stamps, perhaps.)

Probably most (if not all) of us never will have achieved enough fame to ever be considered ... besides we'd have to be dead at least ten years (er, five years -- see my other post) before we'd be considered anyway. That is unless someone here is planning on becoming the President of the United States, so he or she can be put on a stamp earlier!

Actually this makes me think of yet another thread ... I recall that I do have a couple of covers received from people who later were honored with a postage stamp (US and Worldwide) so maybe that would be an interesting thread to work on. (?)

Here's another idea. How about all of the Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee rejects? Here's one example that was in local news in my area of the country recently:

Stampgal,
Yes I was teasing. I am 100% positive that there is not a stamp for US Highway 66.

However, there is an Australian Black Sheep (private post) issue with a Highway 66 shield on it that I would love to have.

With all of the comedy entertainers of the by-gone era that have had stamps issued in their honor, I suggest that the US needs to consider a stamp commemorating the comedy antics of The Three Stooges. A few small countries have issued them (primarily for collectors) as shown below.

Actually, I think it would sell quite well in the US as postage on any number of documents I can think of!
