I have a friend going to John O'Groats soon - the most northerly point of Mainland UK. The PO there are happy to do John O'Groats handstamped cancels for collectors. The following SCF members have put their name down for cachet covers, which my friend is kindly going to post at John O'Groats.
1.Lucky (she hasn't asked but I owe her some nice covers!)
2.Rohumpy
3.Jubilee
4.Marius
5.Smauggie
Offer closed Thursday, at midday forum time.
Your covers are now ready and should be posted next week, midweek.

Hey, well that confirms they were sent! Glad you liked it. I knew they were to be posted yesterday, but I hadn't heard anything from my friend. You're the first - everyone else is airmail.
Inside is a one-sheet letter with some info about John O'Groats, the stamps and the cachet. If you don't want to open the envelope, I'll email you the info instead! |

According to the John O'Groats Post Office blurb online, the cancellation is by Krag machine - a rare hand operated franking machine. |
