They had a FDC of a Special Delivery stamp? cool. I'd love to check that out. |

They even had First Day of Issue cancels for Special Delivery Stamps through to the last one issued in 1971:  I find this one interesting because the FDOI cancel is Phoenix, AZ on May 10, 1971...and backstamped as being received in Philadelphia at 12 Noon on that same day. Must have been carried on a quick flight from Phoenix to Philadelphia to get there by 12 Noon, even moreso when you consider the time differences between those destinations.  |

Very neat. I might start to collect F.D.C.'s as the ones I see are very intriguing and have great eye appeal. |
