Another A25 (Sc#64)

Back at you with another A25. At first glance, it looked like it might be a carmine rose or red rose. But once I started looking more closely, I clearly realized it was nether. To me it seams to have a significant pink undertone like my pigeon blood, but pushed to carmine shade. I know how frustrating it is to try and judge color from computer scans, but I think it is a carmine pink.

Ur killin me with quality Ron. I can't comment on shades of these but but compared to other scans I've looked at this seems more inline with what I would call pigeon blood from my experiences with gemstones.

No, I know it is not a pigeon blood pink for sure. Here is a scan that I have listed on my selling site. But this is by far the most unusual color I have ever seen I an A25. It just does not fit into anything that have to compare to. And the color is most definitely shifted to the pink shades with a carmine undertone. If is a carmine pink it is not to shabby for a $14000.00 stamp. I have sent scans to Bill Wiess and I am waiting for what he says. It is just that he hates trying to identify colors with computer scans. You will notice it has that same violet tint but shifted to the carmine shade.

Has anyone noticed that apparently, Ron only has top-of-the-line stamps that he shows? I'm just jealous! I wonder what he does with the stuff he considers less than satisfactory? I think they would probably look real good in my collection! I want them, at least a chance for them, so Ron, when you put those "seconds or fillers" on ebay or where ever, let us know....
