Just an odd little piece I came across a while back. It is a stamp stock reciept for the Parcel Post and stamp window for $1000.00 dated 1927 signed by Sam L Langston.
I also have a letter of resume from him to the Postmaster Hon. J. M. Pittillo requesting the position of superintendant of the new Postal department at the Waco, texas Veterans Hospital.
Just something to gander

Very cool item! It's a shame it didn't come with the $1000 face value worth of mint stamps from that era :)

It is a piece of postal history. It is what was called a drawer reciept where Langston signed for reciept of $1000.00 of stamps to be sold from his window. He then would have to account for the sales of the stamps.
