Some years ago one of our University libraries had a clear out and I was
lucky enough to get hold of a run of these newspapers from January to June 1944 - originals. The front page had the 'hot' news and the other pages had regular features such as :-
The Patients' Weekly - The Feminine Angle - The American Panorama - The Raving Reporters - Portrait of the Week - News from your Own Home Town -
Sports Roundup.

A regular cartoon featured "The Wolf" who was always trying to 'pull a bird'.

All fascinating stuff and very interesting as it showed our own local areas where the troops were stationed as well as giving a great insight into the American forces.

These may not be philatelic but they were part of a philatelic display we put in our local library for Anzac Day alongside covers and other items used during the war.
