Hello, This is just the front of a 1945 French cover and yet it is stamped and cancelled on both sides. Any Ideas why? IOne side is registered in Monetay0sur-Loire and was sent to Sain Florent-sur-Cher.The other side is posted from Saint Florent=syr-Cher to what looks like Boise Jaillard (don't know if that is one word or two). Therre is a blue oval handstamp and all I can make out is the centrer which is St.Florent et Cher. There is another handstamp that says Saint Florent ___ Cher.Therre is a handwritten Affranchise expedited?. I think that means postage is correct? Can anybody shed any light as to why this would be mailed like this? Was it just someone who collected covers maybe? Regatdless of the reason, I love this cover.
thanks
david

Yes, the envelope was turned inside-out and reused.
