Hi to all

I have noticed that some of the earlier Japanese stamps say Imperial Japanese Post and others Japanese Empire.
What is the difference
Regards,

Im no Japan expert, but according to my old SG ctalogue all your stamps are listed under the 1876 set, so I reckon the only difference is the wording. "Imperial Japanese Post" was used on 22 out of 30 in the set, and "Japanese Empire" on the other 8 (the middle values). Hope this helps!
