I recall having a large block of these which had been perfined OS NSW - it was like a lace doily.

That's a real beauty, Finches. Did you find it or buy it or...? Looks like it's in Mint condition, so I gues it did not come in kiloware, part of a collection?

:)

great block finches. I don't know how you do it. I try and try but no matter what I do, when I erase the writing it always disturbs the stamp.

JhloveII, you have brought up a very interesting "be aware" subject. Someone on the Internet was advertising so called "flawed" stamps similar to my Avatar of the USA 20c Ringed Necked Pheasant with missing beak. After another collector suggested how it could have been 'manufactured' I used a damaged copy of the Pheasant and with a white rubber totally removed the beak within 5 minutes.

I posted the beak-less image to warn unsuspecting collectors. Unfortunately, if his item is a genuine flaw, how could one be 100% sure.

This has to be the best stamp description I have read in years.

Now I know how to describe the tiny stamps with perfins.

Just what I needed after today, was a good laugh.
Thanks KGV
