i was looking through my stamps and found these 3 items.

i do not think they be of any value but interesting.

i first noticed that the date was just 8 on the right stamp and then noticed that the left stamp was a little different on the right edge.

is this a common cancel??

when I first looked at this stamp I thought it was and error ...then I noticed it was a cancel..but it does catches the eye.

i just found these all a little interesting.
i just wanted to share them

Thanks Dan.

Sometimes when I work with my stamps, I look at them, but forget to 'see' them. It's fun to give them a close look, isn't it.

As for the Tiffany lamp, I have a pane or two in my desk that I use for postage -- I'll give them a closer look.

Could the MH on the 6 cent be for Mental Health?

Lonedan, thanks for sharing your scans with us. I sometimes forget to look closely at new bulk acquisitions and am probably missing some interesting cancels. You have reminded me to slow down and look a little more closely.

As for the 1-cent Tiffany Lamp scan, it looks as if a piece of dust or debris got in the way and partially obliterated the date on the second stamp. These stamps have a number of minor varieties (nothing worth anything in terms of value or worthy of special note by the Scott Catalog) but still interesting nonetheless. Here's a link to my previous post and these stamps came right from SFS in KC:
