My Stanley Gibbons shows Liberia
going AWOL post 1993.
I can assume why, but does anyone have
a precis of why this occurred and would have anyone
listed the labels issued later, at all. Michel?

Thanks for any commentary.

If Michel does list them, is it possible
to find cut catalogue pieces for
dedicated countries on the internet?
How do I search for them, what text strings?

The Freestampcatalogue is based on Michel, and has 34 pages of stamps from 1993 to 2010.
SG lists issues from 1993-1999 in an appendix with the usual explanation.

Here's an interesting news item from 2006:

(and about BT!)

Did you have an interest in earlier Liberia stamps? This site may be of interest to you (if you are not already familiar with it). It seems to be very comprehensive for anything up to 1960:

Thanks a lot,
wasn't aware of that site.
Gee there some marvelous stamp links nowadays,
Getting better all the time,
we can see issues until now would be impossible
to view apart from private collections.

Starting in 1993 Liberia went into a Civil War, Decendents of former US slaves & native population. Excessive issues were produced.

Thanks warrehouse,
what intrigues me, there must be some
form of written communication carrying on somehow,
I cannot see, even with a civil war, that
things just shut down dead.
Perhaps mail was transported to an neighboring state
and mailed from there

Anybody with suggestions of possible options ?

Thanks
