Perchtoldsdorf is a small town south of Vienna, Austria.
Probably not a fun place to be in May of 1944.

Thanks Tom! I haven't had tome to do any research on the covers I'm picking up right now.

You're right, though. It had to be a terrible place to be during those days - for everyone concerned, including the German soldiers. We sometimes seem to forget that the overwhelming majority of them were not in the Nazi party and were conscripted into the military. Most of them just wanted to go home and be with their families - much like our guys and gals today!

Sorry for the rant.

No need to be jealous, Bryan. Just save up your $10.00 a week allowance (like my wife gives me) and hit ebay on a wild shopping spree!
