Maybe I'm slow to find this, I just noticed the USPS has a new website (in addition to their traditional one). Let it run through its slide show and it tells about all of the post office services available at nationwide locations
other than the traditional post office.
http://uspseverywhere.comI don't know if this is something new or not, but it is "copyright 2011" and my thinking is that it may be a turning point for the USPS in order to promote their services in other ways in order that the public won't get too upset as traditional post offices close in deference to these retail satellite locations where you can conduct postal business.
