That's pretty cool. I do love the old postal paraphernalia. I've considered collecting it. In fact I almost bought an old postal scale at an antique store last week, but if I bring any more stuff into my studio, my wife will have my head. Mounted!

Edit - Don't know if you saw his other items, I_Love_Stamps, but he also has an antique Ohio postal hand cancel. A good find for a collector in some place like, Ohio.

I've never seen an antique cancelling device before so thanks for bringing it our attention. I have a few stamps with a cancellation that is similiar to the design of this one.
