Hi all,

I am putting together my USA collection, piece by piece, with what I have. Sadly I am missing a lot of supposedly common stamps. I was wondering if the members here can help either through swaps or generous giveaways (if they have enough lying around. Can I just attach an excel file with Scott numbers?

Hi ramanandn, I've got a bunch of extra US I'd be happy to trade as well. Send me a list as well, and I can send you scans of what I have available.
cheers
James

Post a message in the WANTED TO BUY forum -- now that you have 50 posts, you should be able to see it from the Forum Home screen.

You will not be able to attach a file to your post, but it is OK to post a long list of Scott numbers. If it's VERY long, you may want to break it up into some logical groupings.

Look at this older post from lawswabbie -- a list of Scott numbers. Also notice that as he acquired some of them, he went back and edited the original post to strike through the ones he no longer needed.... good idea, good form, and easier for everyone.

I need a few US myself -- you've inspired me to make a list too

Good Luck
Kirk

will check the list when I get home - jeff (and I know it is difficult , but if you can keep us updated as to what has been filled so that we don't duplicate effort that would be helpful). We will get you filled up.

I_Love_stamps... I have the entire set of those used... including 2000-2. Thanks for asking.

Another curious thing I found was some US stamps would line up exactly right on 9.5 on my paper perf gauge whereas SC mentions them to be perf 10 (for example the transportation series). Maybe I'm messing up something..

I have a mint sheet of the Birds and Flowers and also a complete
Audobon set of cachets of the images on envelopes. Weird that the
stamps dont match the cachet...they were all cancelled on the date of inauguration of each state. I read somewhere about the story of Arthur singer and his son and the time requirements for them to put together all 50 images.....interesting.
I'll be listing for sale soon.....

hmmm Those are a little too recent for me to be of much help but I'll round up what I have and see if any are the ones your looking for OK? Would you by chance have any duplicates of the presidential issues for a possible trade? I believe you have enough posts to do that but I'll have to double check the post requirement as some of that stuff has recently changed. I'll get on it. -peace
