That is lovely Lockum ! Old guides, catalogues and magazines are keepers. I have a 1936 Gibbons. It looks quite strange when one considers the size today.
I have a couple of Postage Stamps of the United States 1937/1938 catalogs by Gibbons also. What a joy to page through, such explanations, minute details, and can imagine what the size would be these days if all issues had such devoted explanations.
I took a look at their listing for Scott 181 (Zachary Taylor/A55/1875) the 1938 catalog has 317 copies issued and 8 copies known at that time. Value Unused $1000.
the Scott 2010 catalog, $450,000! whew!
Thanks for sharing you items, nice catalog Lockumup.
