My bad,

Welcome to the forum! You will find this place a very useful tool in getting started in your U.S collection. Hope you come here often and we are all looking forward to your contributions. It doesn't have to be U.S. any country collection is fine. And, we all love pictures.

No WEB site, including theswedishtiger & 1847usa site, should be used as a proof positive of color. Every PC, laptop, PDA can show color in a slightly different version of the actual color.

Consequently, if you want proof positive of a stamp color varity, get a good source book or rely or some source that has the experience with the issue in question.

That being said, I still like theswedishtiger site, and their colors. Its about as good as one can expect on a WEB site. Just my opinion and preference.

There is nothing wrong or bad about the 1847usa site either.

As a collector from the antipodes,
I would sing the praises of the
"The Postal Service guide to US Stamps" a lovely colour catalogue
scott numbers. I picked up a copy 2007 for $5
from an old bookshop in the middle of nowhere.
