Going thru my stamps this evening and mounting someinto my album I found these two and looked them to see what they where worth and a pleasent surprise. One is 1882, #205, $.05 yellow brown, Garfield, Blackbook $12.00 and the other is 1887, #216, $.05 indigo, Garfield, Blackbook $18.00. Not a bad find for a night of stamp mounting.

Am collecting a smorgasbord right now but I do like the classic UUS, for the history that goes with them.

I certainly am a newbie at grading stamps, etc, but aren't the values given in SC for very fine condition(unless indicated otherwise). Conditions ,such as missing perfs,staining, creases, etc can change the values even on the earlier stamps, right??

Gussyboy, yes condition can, and depends on how common or scarce the stamp is.
