Hello, Here is a nice Rghistered and triple franked Argentina cover sent from Villa Ballester, a part of urban Buenos Aires, and posted to Crimmitshau, Germany. Two things I really like about this cover are the three vaslues of postage and the notation Vapor Conte Grande.
Thanks
David

I like the hand-writing, it is very legible and flows right along. Thought and effort was put into it. Very nice overall too.

Keep in mind the timeframe...1938-1939 You know who and the Nazi's are at their hight of power, Germany is in chos, as is Austria and Czechoslovakia. The other madman from Italy has started Invading Ethopia.

Who knows how many times the steamships may have been called back or diverted to other safer ports in Europe

Hi bobgggg, I read where this ship was laid up in Santos, brazil in June 1940 awaiting developements after Mussolini's attack on France. Iy is absolutely possible that the same could have happened in 1938. Asyou said Germany was in turmoil and this ship was headed to Crimmitshau, germany. You make a great point.
Thanks
David
