Two more from Texas. I think the one on the right is L-1 HS. The one on the left looks like the state is spelled TEKAS! Anyone know for sure for these two?
I would venture to guess that both (or at least certainly the one on the left) is a box cancel (not a precancel) as it appears to me that the vertical line of the box cancel is just barely visible in the upper right hand corner of the stamp. The stamp was probably overinked, making the "X" look like a "K" in the State name of "TEXAS".
