Open a whole new can of wombat...

Hello All,
Eunice and I were just talking about wombats (as we do) and looking at the doctor blade flaw on a block we have.

That led us to our canned wombat and we wondered if listers were aware that Aussies went in for canned wombats.

Here is ours!

He really did come in the can...we did not know what to expect when he was given to us and quite relieved to find it was not dog food!
Regards to all
Ron and Eunice

Could start a zoo - though I don't have a Killer Whale error to go along with the tin.

Love the killer whale fighting to get out!
There is a 'killer whale - error of colour' I believe, but we don't have it.

However this should put your lad where he belongs.

Regards
Ron and Eunice.

Penguins hello, that's a lovely strip of Wombats! Have you noticed the variety of shades in this issue?

Hi Finches,
That is quite a marked difference isn't it. I must admit that I don't have a great collection of Australian stamps as we got here too late to start from a reasonable date.
We just have a booklet collection plus some odds and ends picked up whilst I was with the P.O.
For instance these two blocks of the 1972 Pioneer issue, (both with the blinkers flaw) with quite marked shade differences, particularly in the background.
Cheers
Ron.

Penguins, yes a lovely fresh set. The Pioneer issue had quite a few varieties. Until I put my Glasses on today the second horse wasn't obvious.
