YES DONE ~soaking, sorting, numbering and putting them all in order and in my vario stock pages! I can't believe it! It was a whole heap of fun but a monster of a job indeed. Now, I have some direction on knowing what I need and where to go next. What a wonderful feeling it is! haha I think I'm going to attempt to get all the "Presidential issues" of 1938-'39. I need a lot of them too! I'm so happy. me> and

yeah I seen that coming! Actually I been really "under the weather" lately and was being bull headed tward taking any medicine but the pain was terrible and I gave in. I couldn't relax hunched over my stamp collection was the last straw! My doctor gave me this stuff he assured me wouldn't "dope me up" and would help me get back to stamping. Stuff called buprenorphine and another called Soma. It took a day or two to get over the drowsiness but I haven't been able to get around like this in years! This morning I played with my daughter in the sandbox (if you can imagine that one! lol, I got the mower blades all sharpened and then after a hot shower, I finished off my stamp collection! I despise any prescription medication but I had to do something. I'm very proud of myself and my daughter and I are finally re-forging our daddy-daughter relationship! She is fascinated by our stamp collection and now we are working on her mystic album. I feel like a new person. OK that's all I got... LOL I just wanted to share after all we are a family right?

Congratulations! But if you're a true stamp collector, you're really never "done"!

If you're going to attempt the Presidential Series of 1938-1939, you might find these images of "rejected designs" interesting:

ARRRGH!! I think I just found some more on piece I gotta soak and sort! I usually love this part but I done too much at one time and started to get frustrated towards the end as you can imagine.
I've got really mixed feelings right now! ha ha I am very happy that I can fill more gaps but now I gotta go through everything again!

LOL

The previous posts aren't essays, they were merely illustrations in a book devoted to the US Presidential Series stamps containing facts about the Presidents depicted and plate numbers and first day cover statistics, etc.

Quite an unusual booklet, as I haven't seen them around much in the current day but contains a whole lot of trivia about that stamp series:

That's really neat wt1. I'd like to read that. I have to wonder if I poked around on the net a little bit if I couldn't maybe drum up a copy somewhere? Think it's possible wt1?

I love Stamps, congratulations on the completion of your project, feels good inside. Sorry to hear your taking Buprenorphine, a very heavy duty pain killer etc.
In Australia the approx' equivalent is Methadone, which is given in reduced doses to people experiencing problems with Opiates.

yeah the Dr said they use it for opiate dependence and all the dangers involved but I'm just temporarily on it for pain. Please don't be sorry for me friend as it's the lesser of two evils for me. I am dealing with some tremendous pain and chemotherapy. They actually gave me a prescription for Dronabinol (Marinol) to help with the pain and spasms and to stimulate my appetite but after a quick internet search and discovering it was a constituent of marijuana, I politely declined. No drugs here friend. I'm an Ex-U.S. Marine and an outdoors man to the hilt! I don't even really drink beer for that matter! I had to do something because I couldnt even care for my daughter properly and my quality of life was diminishing pretty rapidly so you know I have no intentions of taking anything for any longer than I need to. Thank you for your concern and the kind words. This community has got me through some pretty rough days and for that I'm both grateful and thankful to everyone! -Jay AKA: I.L.S.
