I am suprised no one has helped you out yet.
Mint - Never has been canceled
Mint O.G. - Never placed on an envelope and still has Original Gum (O.G.)
Mint Hinged - It has gum disturbance from a hinge as in being put in an album
Used - Canceled by the Post Office

Here is a picture of a stamp hinge. It is used usually to stick the used stamp in the album. A hinged stamp in the catalogue mean that a hinge has been used on a mint stamp (hinges where use on mint stamps before). When the hinge is taken of the mint stamp it leaves a trace on the gum. A hinged stamp (mh) has a lower value then the same stamp mint never hinged (mnh).

Nice collection you have there baduffo! I didn't catch this post earlier and for that I apologize.
to SCF! The descriptions above are absolute and you'll hear these a lot especially when grading or buying stamps. I like some of your franklins and of course that Lincoln and especially that buffalo. You have some very cool stamps baduffo. Congrats!
