My family & I watch All in the Family every evening and my daughter always felt bad for her because of Archie...so we sat down and wrote a letter to Jean telling her this and we explained that we told her that "Edith Bunker" was just a character played by her on T.V., and she replied back and sent an 8" X 10" autographed B&W glossy. lol She thought the letter was cute and told her that she was fine. What a sweet lady. The return envelope was not the one I sent (SASE) but just a manila mailer but it did have a stamp on it so I put them in my stock book. here is a pic.

Wow I can still hear that shrill when she says Arrrrrchieeeeee and sings the opening song. Shes done a few good educational movies and is quite the icon of the 70's . Great pc and something to treasure especially with your personal story to back it up.

I_Love_Stamps...very nice, reminds me of a gent I once knew who collected celebrity autographs..he had hundreds of them...he would write to Presidents and Hollywood stars, athletes and most of them were gracious enough to reply...i am having a memory lapse on the Yankee pitchers name who died in his plane in an accident..but a kid I worked with wrote to his wife and got a very nice letter in reply !
