I have been offered this for $50.00 Australian.
Would it be a good buy or is it fairly common
Regards,
Horamakhet

Horamkhet I am sure you will get a proper
reply from someone that is in the know.

But that is the type of stamp collecting
that is interesting me at the minute.

Yes I would pay $50 for that.
My bids at auction have not as yet won anything.
Pricing seems to be all over the place.

Horamkhet, I have no idea if it's 'fairly common' but $50 max' is a price I would pay.

I'm not sure how common or scarce the item is either, but you may want to read up on it a bit at this link, which suggests that similar misperforations typically realize $10 to $15 per stamp, so for the triplet shown, you are probably at the high end of the ladder at $50.

The "problem" with EFO's is there is no source for a true "hard value" to be placed on an item, as there is often no way of knowing how many of a particular variety may exist, and there is no stamp album reference for such things, so the values typically revolve around what one is willing to pay for an item they really want to add to their collection.

If I'm not mistaken I seen same efo in a set of 9 on ebay and don't think they hit the $50 . Possible this person won the set and is selling off triples? Personally I'd go half or maybe $30 , then again at the right auction the 3 could fetch $150 so its a personal choice.

So I would of ripped myself off au$24.50c
Nearly 100% off the mark.

And I still have not bid on ebay.
But I see more reason to search for stamp prices
and to ID stamps on-line.
It has been more than helpful.
Maybe I am slowly weakening but the bricks
and mortar auctions still get all my
stamp money and a bit more.

Old habits are hard to change.
If it is not broken do not change it!
I wonder what I will say about this in 5 years time. KGV
