I enjoy collecting double transfers, and I stumbled across one tonight that I'm not sure how to attribute. Scott lists several transfers for R15c:

Double Transfer (T15) $65.00
Double Transfer (T15a) $50.00
Double Transfer $12.00
Triple Transfer $40.00

I'm a little confused as to Scott's listing. Is the $12.00 for a specific double transfer, or just any double transfer that is not T15 or T15a?

I hope the board software will scale this image down for everyone and not blow up anyone's screen, as it is a 2400 dpi scan. You'll want to open the image and view it at full size. Look specifically at the bottom scroll, at the lettering for "U.S. Inter. Rev."

EDIT: Nuts. It looks like this message board only scales down images in Firefox. It doesn't work in Internet Exploder and made the page a zillion miles wide, so I've replaced the image with a link to the image. Boy do I hate MSIE.

revenuecollector, I can't address how Scott's handles revenues but for postage the price is very generic. On most issues they don't even distinguish value between major and minor double transfers (re-entries).

That's just it. When it comes to revenues, the listed double and triple transfers can get quite pricey. In some cases, a dramatic double transfer can turn a 50-cent stamp into a $100 stamp... or higher.

The one below is a good example. A plain old R6c catalogs $0.25. The major double transfer turns it into a $325 catalog value. (Yes, this is a much more dramatic DT than the stamp in question.)

The revenue stamps have the most dramatic multiple transfers of all U.S. stamps. That is a great example.

I'm slowly but surely working on them, along with double impressions, which are quite scarce (not to mention expensive). I'll probably never be able to complete a double impression collection though, as some of the most famous and most dramatic examples are unique.

The ones I have thus far:

The R28e is simply stunning. That is a great example of a double impression.

It would be for any other Non Dramatic double transfer. As you know (and stated) the more dramatic the shift the higher the price.

I would classify this one as anyother.

Ok, that's what I had classified it as in my database. Thanks.
