Not big into collecting the classics (yet!) but this one caught my eye while I was cruising for stamps on ebay. Six dollarsThirteen dollars later and I had my first #68!

Nice one pandabear. I recently picked up a #68 for $6 as well, but not as nicely centred as that.

I really like that cancel too. I believe it reads: Philadelphia, PA. MAR. 27 1862

A very handsome #68 as well. Fabulous centering too. Great pick-up!

I'm certainly very elated to have snagged this one, which is why I wanted to share it.

Love_Stamps - Thanks for the info, I was wondering what the pudgy marks were on the bottom of the postmark but now that you mention Pa its clear as day. However, I think the month is May, not March as the third character is open at the top.
