Dated Precancels From New Haven CT (Hbi - 1939 To 1949)

Here's an interesting and colorful set of dated precancels from New Haven, CT spanning an entire decade from 1939 through 1949 and all from the firm "HBI" (whatever that is/was).

Anyone have information on the New Haven firm that would have used the HBI initials?

WT1 You have HBI type C22 used from 1938-45 by H.B. Ives, builder & hardware. These can be found with a 'green' hand stamp. The last 2 have faint hand stamp not sure of date.

Thanks. I believe the next to last one is December, 1940 and the last one looks to be November 1948 (or possibly 1949).
