When did British South Africa Company change to South Africa, or philately where they two different countries.

Hi Horamkhet,

The territory controlled by the British South African Company became known as Southern and Northern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe and Zambia).

The company's control of the territory ended in 1923 when the British government decided not not to renew the its charter. However, the company continued in business and is now part of Charter International.
