Hi to all.

This is from an insert in the Stanley Gibbons Stamp Monthly.

It makes you wonder about all the different descriptions of colours.
This one is just the greens, what about the blues, reds etc
Regards
Horamakhet

Horamkhet, I have several copies of this KGV stamp but never imagined that there are so many shades. Thanks for posting.

I actively collect the shades of these issues. If you stare at them long enough, they all begin to run together and you tend to get very discouraged. I bought the deep dull yellow green ("apple green") from Arthur Ryan. I have a hard time convincing myself that it is that different from the yellow green shade. I guess it is a case of I will have to accept the opinion of those more knowledgeable than I.

The Cypress green shade goes for thousands of pounds. Needless to say it will never be mine.
