Here is another envelope in my collection. This one from Ceylon.
I think it is postmarked 1954?
Still using stamps from George VI
I wonder how common this was

Great cover! It is not likely that someone would throw away stamps just because the king on them is no longer reigning.

Nice cover horamkhet. I love the ones with multiple stamps plastered on the envelopes.

That's a lot of postage for one small envelope. The overseas rates must have been phenomenal back then. Or there was a brick in there.

I have kept your scan.
It has an Air Mail etiquette with black and white wings,
I have been looking for years to solve that one.
Nice to see one on cover
Usually they have two white wings.
