This should be an easy question, but I'm stumped on these two similar, yet different precancels. There is a difference in the space between bars 12.5 mm v. 13.0 mm and the typeface is different. I was thinking a Type 61 and Type 71, but the spacing doesn't seem to match the latter.

Were there differences between the precancels used between sheet and coil stamps?

Thanks. This was messing me up big time. I didn't know there was a "variation". I've been going through a glassine envelope of these precancels and seemingly 4 out of 5 didn't match up, and so they must be the so-called "variation". I didn't think they matched any of the other Bureau types for that city, but yet the spacing seemed slightly off and the typeface was more vertical in the second example.

I learned something new (again).
