Bobgggg one of the members printed off an ebay listing and brought it to the club meeting tonight..those imperf panthers I got for Ottawamike you and myself for 5 dollars are being offered on ebay for $999.00 !

Philb... According to the article, that appeared in Linn's,
Scott was supposed to assign a value in the 2008 US Specialized
Catalog.

I looked at the Catalog Wed evening at my stamp meeting.

They have only assigned a letter (a) to the imperf, but still
no value.

Bob, the guys said it was in the Scott catalog with a letter after the catalog number..i did not know it was not assigned a value..i guess the ebay guy is testing the water..eBay is a strange world..you never know what someone might bid !!

Now this is going to be interesting to see what comes of it. Who is responsible for putting a value on stamps and how do they do it with new stamps like this?

Cimmaron, you can see it in the scott catalogs all the time...depends on how many of a certain stamp is available..suppose everyone dumped their zepps C13-15..the price would drop like a stone..supply and demand !!

Sometimes I think it would be fun to be the one that determines all that but then again I bet it can be a MAJOR headache as well.
