I particularly like the regular issue and airmail material from about 1925 to 1945 and although I'm not collecting US, I love the BOB stuff like revenues.

Eddy

I like the Pan American Issues from 1901, also airmail from c1 thru c50
I also have been collecting special delivery stamps over the years. If you want to collect 19th century US then it will be costly to complete some sets but other sets are not that bad. Stick to your budget look for bargains and have fun !!

I think early 20th century like 1920-1940 is best, from what I've seen

An easy place to start is to do the Presidents ( Prexies) of 1938 and then move towards the front #1. They are inexpensive used and with a little searching you can find lightly canceled ones, especially of the high values. Then maybe the 1932 Washington series. There is always a sense of completion and a job well done when a series looks well balanced. This is also a series to challenge oneself to get the best centered, best colored, and cleanest light cancel possible. Sharpens one's instinct as to the value and difficulty of finding the best stamp ( even when the scott value is low).

You are very welcome. I am kind of stoked about getting this together and sending it to you as you will be the first international mail I have ever sent. I will also try and get a new flag stamp on the cover for you.
