Hammarskjold, not scarce at all. When the post office discovered the error, they printed up thousands and flooded the market, so as to avoid another 'inverted jenny' situation. |

Yup, I have a half sheet of both regular and color-shift Hammarskjold so not rare at all. The other [e.f.o.??] I have never heard of. |

Now there's a cinderella I'd love for the collection. Plus he looks like Walter Matthau. |

The 1986 Presidential sheet looks very interesting. That's a major shift of the tagging from what I can see. |

I like that term "Day's Folly" and think I will label it as such in my album! |

Thanks for the link. I knew the story, but I did not know that Sherman donated his original sheet to APS.

Did not H.E.Harris take it to court over the omitted Thatcher Ferry Bridge on the Canal Zone stamp and prevent the reprinting of the error? That may be why there was no reprint of the CIA error. |

Scott specialized does not list this error. Perhaps sending some high quality scans to Amos to see if they feel it's worth listing. |

The tagging shift on the Ameripex sheets is not rare, but an interesting curiosity. |

IIRC, the "CIA invert" came to light some time after the stamps were out of production.
People who find errors of this type would be well advised to keep it to themselves for a few years. |

The inverted color error is extremely rare and valuable, the re-issue invert is of nominal value. An example of the error is below |
