Centering On The Stamp- Excellent To Misperforation.

How Good is the centering on this Australia 4d lemon KGV.

Superb centering.

The centering is Fine to Very Fine, the side to side margin widths are a bit off.

The grade is only Fine or less due to the centering and smudgy cancel and the bent perf upper right.

This is done using the Good - Fine - Very Fine grading system and not getting into the older US stamp Superb or the 50% - 99% kind of thing.

And also because I am very picky of my own grading. No allowances for, oh it's close enough. That's not good enough. It either is or is not.

And this is also me not knowing the usual type of centering found amongst this series of stamp so as to compare tos.

But to sell it or collect it, it always comes down to what a collector is willing to have and how close his or her tolerances are.

I would have to say VF.

As stated earlier, the smudgy cancel doe knock it down some. However, having said this, if this same stamp was MNH, it would be very close to Superb.
