Did everyone remember to pickup today's US Merchant Marine Stamp issue? Here's a plate block depicting the four stamps:



I like the stamps, it's just that it can be a killer on your wallet to have two different stamp issues (Owney & Merchant Marines) released in two consecutive days and at the end of the month, too!

I'll pick some up this weekend for postage. My postmaster showed them to me a few days ago, but of course couldn't sell them at that time.

Thanks for the reminder. Will have to stop by the PO on the way home. These are indeed attractive stamps. Too bad I can't mail myself a cover with a plate block on it (I know I could stick all the stickers onto the cover, but I lack the manual dexterity to put it together well enough to look like a cohesive plate block).
