I recently participated in my first auction and won a mixed lot of revenues. Several threads about bidding and auctions were very helpful, thanks to all. I was able to preview some pics of the lot the week beforehand so I had an idea of value and what I could spend. I bid my max at the beginning and it held on barely. I also chose a reputable name in US revenues and from my first look at the lot I am very happy. I tend to put a premium on condition, centering and perfs etc. and from what I've seen out there in used revs this lot seems VF in many cases, especially 1st issue. I think it makes a good starting point for my revenue collection. Here are a few pages scanned.    |

Congratulations. Those look beautiful, I especially like the grey and two greens in the middle of page 3. |

Revenue Stamps are a very Slippery slope that once you start down the Path, it gets like crack Cocaine, very addictive....beware!
