These Barred Oval cancels, also called "Bootheels" or "Boot Heels" were previously discussed here:

https://goscf.com/t/8783#76520

They were in use from 1852 to 1855.

I have since gathered a list of the numerals and the towns of origin. The question marks indicate unknown if in a blank area, or uncertain if beside a town.

Here are two images and the list:

Nice. If we have information to add, would you prefer it by email, so that you can update the list? (Or disregard? Also an option...) Or would you like it just tacked on the end, here?

E.g., 39 was Benalla; your 7 is correct (no "?" necessary); etc.

There are a few post offices that were believed to have received ovals, but that are not positively matched with any particular number.

Would you like a list at the end with offices that are currently unmatched, and maybe the likeliest contenders for matches?

This is nice to have here. Thanks for the work.

Nice margins on that Too Late

For the sake of continuity, would you like the year for the rest of the renames? A lot of them were from 1/1/1854.

Being that there's only 109 of them, I could give you the rarity rating for each one as well if you're interested in including that in your list.

Cheers
Balf
