Are these all the same stamp, one is a red brown and the others a chocolate colour. Or has the lighter one just suffered fading. All the stamps I am posting at present are my 2 cent purchases. Regards Horamakhet Regards Horamakhet
I'll take a guess and suggest the first stamp is a version of Scott #280 (Watermark 191 Horz. or Vert.). According to Scott Specialized, there were a number of color variations to this stamp described as Rose Brown (#280); Lilac Brown or Brownish Claret (#280a); and Orange Brown (#280b). No change in value regardless of minor variety type.
