Hi to all

I told myself that I would not buy anymore stamps, but I could not resist buying an old world collection. There were more than 2000 stamps and they cost me 0.02cents each. Some are really interesting but I will post them as I sort them out,.
I do not know who this President is, but from the postmark it looks like he job robbed the local Wells Fargo Stage Coach.

I believe that is known as a "mute" cancel. It certainly would have kept him quiet.

I love seeing strategically placed cancels.

The fellow on the stamp design is Daniel Webster who served forty years in national politics as Secretary of State, Senator, constitutional lawyer and member of the House of Representatives.

I don't think he ran with Jesse James's gang. But it's hard to tell, he should pull down his bandana so we can see his face better.

He's was not a president. This is Daniel Webster, noted NE politician of the 19th century. Type A67 in Scott, #226 '08 cv $3.75
