This grid cancel obviously doesn't provide any information that would identify its provenance. But does anybody happen to know what it is?

Many smaller post offices used a variety of unmarked oval killer bar hand stamps especially for non-machine canceled parcels. It would probably be impossible to determine the origin of that cancel.
