Hi Everyone,
I am going through my over print / surcharge stamps and came across this bunch. I was wondering if anyone knows why all five stamps have different ink color for the overprints?

Also, I am guessing "centenario" stands for one century, and I see the dates of 1858 1958, but I don't know what that has to do with the stamp?

Thank you!

"Centenario" stands for "Centennial". Stamps being overprinted in a variety of colors is not unheard of, especially for something as important as the centennial of a country. It may be that the various colors were meant to represent the various colors of the Guatemalan flag.

Congratulations, you have the entire set of 5.

In the Scott catalog, they are Guatemala #374-378 issued from Nov-Dec 1958 to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Rafael Alvarez Ovalle, composer of Guatemala's national anthem.

These are for the centenary of the birth of Rafael Alvarez Ovalle, who wrote the national anthem of Guatemala. The overprints are listed in blue, black, carmine, red orange and green. You've got the complete set.
