These are just spacefillers (hinged then removed by previous owner(s), resulted in more or less small thins, tears etc.) Why is the 1,5 and 10 c imperforated(?) on one side?

Maybe they were on the edge of a sheet of pane?

That is correct. They are natural straight edges caused by the cutting of the sheet in panes. Even though US collectors tend to call them mint sheets, what is sold at the post office should actually be called mint panes.

I am really fond of a straight edge with that tiny visible colored line along it, but I sometimes get the impression that "real" collectors avoid them. Am I imagining this?

I understand that a SE could be a sign that someone has cut the perfs off, but in a case like the ones Wadmalatz posted above, where the ink line is visible, surely there is no negative.

To me, it's almost a positive -- fewer fragile perfs to worry about!

Is there a "proper" opinion here?

PS It seems I have heard people mention the 20 cancel in awe before -- is there something rare or unusual about it? Cheers.

I kinda collect these "footprints" as I call them
as an aside to my US.
I don't recall a "K" before, any significance?
