Chasa, Wow, What a precancel? It looks to me the date portion of the precancel is lighter possibly being a separate overprint & possibly a fake! What do you think? The 1923 Glencoe L-1 the precancel was evenly overprinted. The center would not have been lighter then the city/state. The blotch in the center would not have been there. Notice too there is a coma after Glencoe, L-1 did not,which this mimics, but L-2 did. I'm surmising that this is a manufactured fake, but then again.
