Nice hexagon-shaped postmarks.

I thought turtles / tortoises had pentagons and hexagons on their carapaces, not squares and rectangles?

The author was using old stock (envelopes) ?
Saint Isobel was renamed Malabo in 1969

An interesting little aside Rod is that Santa Isabel was originally Malabo so the name has gone from Malabo to Santa Isabel to Malabo

In regards to the use of old stationery, cancels etc this seems to be the norm for covers dating around the time of independence (12 October 1968)

These two are prime examples as the "cancels" still have the name "Fernando Poo" on them - Fernando Poo is now known as Bioko
