There's just something about air mail stamps ... the subject matter, the nice engraved printings, the bi-colors, etc., that make these stamps more special than most regular postage stamps. I like them!

I think they are beautiful. The colors and "simplistic"(relatively speaking,of course)in design. Now I need to start picking up jenny's and the earlier ones that go with them. Wish me luck! Thank you all for the nice comments too. ~Jay

A nice group there! Interesting to see design work go from the classic engravings to the slick graphic design style as you scroll down the page.

Nice batch. And I agree with you Jay. I think the word you are looking for is 'simplicity' Many of them do have that nice clean design. I think the Amelia Earhart is lovely. And even though I'm not America (well, ok, my Grandad was) I gotta admit I do like those eagles!

I_Love_Stamps, you have a very nice lot of airmail stamps. I have been looking at my US air post stamps and am presently trying to add some of the higher value ones or replace existing ones with nice cancels. Good luck finding additional airmail stamps to your collection.

Just came across someone selling this Cinderella on ebay. Never saw it before, but it is very appropriate to this thread. Maybe it's a start of another collecting discipline: "Airmail Cinderellas"!

Wow that's really neat! That would look great at the beginning to, or perhaps, a title page for an airmail collection.
