But the stamp itself is a monster!

Here's a question for all you sleuths out there:

The only record I can find in Google for the merchant whose name is imprinted on the document, "Haynes, Lewis & Spencer, 146 Walnut St." shows up as being located at that address in Cincinnati, Ohio, but the document is clearly an Indiana document (as indicated by the printing at bottom), and if the upper-right corner is to believed, Portland, Indiana.

So where exactly was this merchant located?

For what it's worth, there is A Portland Indiana. It lies NE of Indianapolis.
